After 53 years of armed conflict, in 2016 a peace treaty was signed between the Colombian government and the former guerrilla group FARC*. Since then, some 7.000 remaining members have settled in transition camps throughout the country to start the reintegration into civilian life. After 53 years of armed conflict, this is a historic step and essential to the complex undertaking of building a long lasting peace in Colombia. This series seeks to provide insights into the ex-combatants new everyday lives and portrays the reintegration process on a human level.
